Course Features

Description

Intensive practical course of 17 hours for introduction in Interventional Nephrology through a brief theoretical introduction and three blocks of practice on live porcine model, an animal with anatomy very similar to human. The practices will be carried out with direct tutoring in small groups of 3 students.
This course does not have any sections.

Goals

At the end of the course, the student will know:

  • Placing and management of tunnelled vascular accesses
  • Performing ultrasound guided renal biopsies
  • Placing and management of a peritoneal dialysis catheter
