Description
Goals
The student can acquire the necessary skills to perform complex experimental techniques in the pig.
Under supervision of the teachers, the students will perform the following procedures:
- Epidural anesthesia.
- Ultrasound-guided vascular access (Seldinger technique).
- Carotid, jugular and femoral surgical approach.
- Basic principles of laparoscopic surgery.

Students
The workshop is aimend to professionals accredited for functions C (carrying out the procedures in pigs) or F (designated veterinarian), described in the current Spanish laws on protection of animals used for scientific purposes (Real Decreto 53/2013 and Orden ECC / 566/2015 ).

No students: minimum: 8; maximum: 12.
Duration: 4 h.
