Introduction to Lumbar Tubular Exoscopic Microsurgery
Promoting training in lumbar tubular exoscopic microsurgery is an essential pillar in the therapeutic arsenal, given that degenerative lumbar pathology is highly prevalent and represents a significant clinical and socioeconomic burden.
Minimally invasive microsurgical techniques, enhanced by technologies such as exoscopy, allow for superior visualization, less tissue damage, and faster recovery, resulting in better functional outcomes and patient satisfaction in a cost-effective manner. In other words, lumbar tubular exoscopy is a step beyond microsurgery and lumbar endoscopy. Thus, training neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons interested in these approaches translates into excellence in care and optimization of resources in modern healthcare systems.
Course objectives
Main goal:
To introduce spine surgeons interested in minimally invasive surgery to this new reality of exoscopic surgery.
Specific goals:
• Familiarization with the use of the exoscope as an ideal optical magnification tool in microsurgical fields.
• Learn and practice the use of instruments in deep fields magnified by the exoscope.

Attendees
Neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons specializing in spinal surgery.
