Research and technical staff working with laboratory animals require ongoing training to keep their skills up to date and improve their performance, as well as to meet the re-accreditation requirements set out in the regulations governing this activity.

– To provide a basic understanding of the principles of surgery, particularly as applied to laboratory animals.
– Perform basic suturing practice.
