Thanks to the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Lleida and other entities, a remote cardiac activity detection system (electrocardiography) for pigs has been installed and fine-tuned at CREBA. This allows us to monitor the animals continuously without causing them any discomfort or stress from handling. This has a direct impact on the welfare of the animals and on the quality of the results obtained, as cardiac activity can be assessed without interference and continuously over several days.

Thus, CREBA adds a new tool to its infrastructure to support translational biomedical research in animals.
